Skype chatrooms
November 19, 2005 – 12:23 amSkype has IM features too and it’s possible to invite as many other users to the chatroom as you want to. You can add a bookmark to the chat, so you can get back to it easily later (after having closed the window). And if you log out of Skype and come back later, then you can actually see anything that has been talked about in the meantime. Simple yet ingenious and really helpful. I have been missing this feature in IRC (which I used for work-related communications until now) and now Skype has a definitive advantage over IRC in my eyes.
Sometimes even a smallest feature, which solves a problem some people even didn’t know they had, can make a piece of software great.
